About Us
Welcome to Kedington Primary School
At Kedington Primary School, we believe that every child deserves to learn, grow and flourish in a safe, happy and inspiring environment. We are proud to be a small, one-form entry primary school where every child is known as an individual and every family is an important part of our community. Through high expectations, excellent teaching and a strong commitment to nurture and wellbeing, we support our children to achieve strong academic outcomes while developing a lifelong love of learning.
Academic Excellence
We have high expectations for every child and are committed to ensuring all pupils achieve their very best. Through high-quality teaching, a carefully designed curriculum and a strong understanding of each child’s individual needs, our pupils make excellent progress and achieve strong outcomes. We aim to develop confident, capable learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.
Nurture, Wellbeing and Inclusion
The wellbeing of our children is central to everything we do. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, happy and valued.
Our inclusive approach ensures that every child can thrive, with carefully planned support available for all pupils and additional provision for those who need it. Through strong pastoral care, nurturing relationships and a commitment to meeting individual needs, we create an environment where every child feels a sense of belonging and can fulfil their potential.
For more information about our approach, please see our Graduated Response document.
Our Values
We believe that education is about developing character as well as academic success. By the time our children leave Kedington, we want them to embody the values that will help them make a positive contribution to the world around them.
Each half term, we focus on one of our six core values:
- Resilience
- Responsibility
- Appreciation
- Community
- Respect
- Kindness
These values underpin daily life at Kedington and help our children grow into respectful, responsible and compassionate young people.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
We believe that some of the most memorable learning happens through real-life experiences.
Our pupils enjoy a wide range of educational visits, enrichment opportunities and special events that broaden their horizons and bring learning to life. These include theatre trips to London, an annual day trip to France and our much-loved Bollywood Day, alongside opportunities for outdoor learning in our Forest School area.
These experiences help children develop confidence, cultural awareness and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Our School Environment
Our beautiful school site provides an inspiring setting for learning. Children benefit from spacious classrooms, a recently refurbished library, dedicated nurture spaces, a large playground, extensive playing field and our own Forest School area.
At the heart of the school is our welcoming hall, where children come together to learn, celebrate and share experiences as a community.
Every child is known. Every child is valued. Every child is encouraged to achieve their very best.
