School Home Communication
Communicating with our parents and carers is such an essential and important part of what we do. It is vital that all of the up-to-date information about our activities, newsletters, calendars, events and school news is relayed in a timely manner to our parents and carers. It is something that really matters to us.

Class Dojo
Teachers use ClassDojo, a secure communication platform that helps families stay connected with classroom life. Throughout the year, teachers share photographs, updates, celebrations, reminders, and information about what children have been learning. Parents can also use ClassDojo to contact their child’s teacher if this is the most convenient way to get in touch.
Parents and carers are given instructions on how to join ClassDojo once your child starts school.
Newsletters
Kedington News, our monthly school newsletter, keeps families informed about key events, important updates and the many achievements and successes taking place across the school. The newsletter is published on our website and shared with parents and carers via Class Dojo.
In addition, teachers provide a termly class newsletter outlining the topics and curriculum areas children will be learning about during the term. These newsletters also offer guidance on how families can support learning at home and include practical information such as PE days, Forest School sessions, homework expectations and other class-specific updates.
Arbor
At Kedington Primary School, we use Arbor to help families stay connected with school life and access important information about their child.
Through Arbor, parents and carers can:
- View their child’s attendance information and up-to-date attendance percentage
- Order and pay for school meals
- Make payments for trips, activities and other school events
- Provide consent for educational visits, photographs and other permissions
- Receive important communications and emails from the school
- Access key information about their child and school events
Parents and carers are provided with Arbor login details when their child joins the school. We encourage all parents and carers to use the platform regularly to keep up to date with school information and communications.
