Uniform
We believe that our school uniform plays an important role in creating a sense of belonging and pride in our school community. It helps to promote equality, supports our positive school culture and ensures that children come to school ready to learn.
Green is our school colour. Children wear a bottle green jumper or cardigan with grey trousers, shorts, skirts or pinafores.
Branded uniform items featuring the school logo are available from our approved suppliers:
However, these items are not compulsory. Many families choose unbranded items that meet our uniform requirements, and these are equally acceptable. We are committed to keeping school uniform affordable and accessible for all families, and most items can be purchased from supermarkets and high street retailers.
We also maintain a large stock of good-quality, donated second-hand uniform, which is available free of charge. If you would like to make use of this resource, please contact the school office.
Please ensure that all uniform, PE kit and other personal belongings are clearly named.
Our Uniform
Our uniform is gender-neutral and consists of:
- White shirt (long or short sleeved)
- School tie (elasticated or traditional, available from the school office via Arbor)
- Grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress
- Green V-neck jumper or cardigan
- Plain white, grey or black socks or tights
- Flat black school shoes suitable for active play
To support children’s independence and safety, footwear should be practical, secure and suitable for running and outdoor play. Open-toed sandals, boots and trainers should not be worn as part of the main school uniform.
Reception children may wear a white polo shirt all year round and do not need to wear a tie.
Summer Uniform
From Easter until October half term, children may also wear:
- Green and white gingham dress
- White polo shirt instead of a shirt and tie
PE Kit
Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on their designated PE days. This maximises learning time and ensures that children are ready to participate fully in physical activity throughout the day.
PE kit consists of:
- Plain white T-shirt
- Plain black shorts
- Trainers
- Plain black jogging bottoms or leggings (if preferred) for colder weather
- Green hoodie or sweatshirt
A green hoodie with the school logo is available from KiiWii Clothing, but any plain green hoodie or sweatshirt in a similar shade is acceptable.
Hair, Jewellery and Appearance
We ask that hairstyles are neat, appropriate for school and do not distract from learning. Extremely styled hair, patterns shaved into the hair, or hairstyles designed to attract undue attention should be avoided.
Hair should be kept in a natural colour. Brightly coloured or artificially dyed hair is not permitted.
Long hair that extends below shoulder length should be tied back and kept off the face for health, safety and practical reasons. This applies to all children.
Hair accessories should be simple and, where possible, in school colours or neutral colours.
A small amount of hair product may be used to help keep hair tidy, but hair should not be excessively styled for school.
For health, safety and practical reasons, jewellery should not be worn to school, with the exception of:
- A watch
- One pair of small stud earrings
Earrings must be removed or covered for PE lessons.
Personal Items
Children should not bring toys, things like trading cards, or personal items into school unless specifically requested by their class teacher.
